Hey you . . .

I write to find peace for the hamster on the wheel that runs busily through my frantic chaotic and stress-filled days.

I write to find some still.

I write to say “this is so” even if it is only so for a moment.

I write to write …

Welcome to my space … I hope you find what you’re searching for, or at the very least … enjoy what you find.

Lost ...

I have lost a lot this past month.

I lost a few pounds.

I lost some pride and some self esteem.

I lost my car keys at least twice.

And a beloved pair of Oakley sunglasses.

A relationship ended.

I lost my ability to set my own woes aside for another’s needs.

I lost my ability to focus.

I lost sleep.

I lost my cool in times when I should not have.

And I lost my writing voice.

But then I ate a lot of chips and drank some beer, and I gained back those lost pounds.

Somehow … someway … I will find my way.

I always do.

And when I do, I will buy new sunglasses.  I will colour my hair.  I will laugh loudly, and I will sleep well.

Carman

The 1000ish words this picture says are coming up in a poem I have been working on.

I’m curious though, what does this picture say to you?

Signs your spending attitudes are on the right track ...

when you yell at express frustration in a loud voice … that makes him cry … that makes you express frustration over the fact that he is crying … that makes you express with pointed tone that crying over silly things should be done in one’s room … that leads to loud claims of “you YELLED at me” quickly followed by “you’re MAD at me” … to which you calmly reply “no, I am just mad … not at you just at the situation”.

Said situation:

son has opened a package of cue cards before confirming that they were the right size and therefore wouldn’t be returned.

They were the wrong size.

Budget waste = $1.47.

Grrrr.

Every dollar counts.
